  • Business & Project Information: For Innovators/Startups, this may include business plans, pitch decks, financial details, company registration details, team member information, and intellectual property summaries.
  • Record Specifics: For Lanka Book of Records, this includes detailed descriptions of achievements, witness statements, supporting documentation, photographs, videos, and other verifiable evidence.
  • Transaction Information: Details of your payments, purchases of services (e.g., record certificates), or donations.
  • User-Submitted Content: Texts, photographs, videos, graphics, music, and any other materials that Users may submit for profiles, project pages, record applications, advertising, promotional uses, or for storage on the Website for any particular purpose related to their activities on the Website.

 

  1. HOW STARTUP SRI COLLECTS INFORMATION
  • AUTOMATIC OR AUTOMATED COLLECTION: The Website which Startup Sri runs, and the Servers on which it is hosted, automatically recognize and gather visitors’ domain names and IP addresses. Whenever this occurs, only statistics and other navigational information is collected, and no personal information of Users is either collected or even revealed during automated collection. Also, the Website may gather what is called “traffic data” which is also anonymous information.

  • To operate, track, and control User accounts, Innovator/Startup profiles, and Record Holder/Applicant submissions, and to provide all Users with programs and materials.
  • To attain more information about your activities when you are on the Website to improve your user experience.
  • To allow Users participation in features which are specially made for the Website, and which may or may not be available from time to time on the Website through the Startup Sri platform.
  • To facilitate connections between Innovators/Startups and potential investors, mentors, or partners.
  • To verify, process, and document records for the Lanka Book of Records platform, and to publicly display verified records and related content to inspire and recognize achievements.
  • To process payments for services, certificates, event registrations, or donations.
  • To send you notices which are of interest and of some degree of importance to both Startup Sri and the Users (e.g., service updates, promotional offers, newsletters, record verification status).
  • To better serve Users with our support services.
  • To be able to respond to law enforcement or court inquiries, when required or obliged to by the law or court order.
  • To improve the way the Website works for Users in general.
  • To enhance the security of the Services and programs.
  • To improve storage and protections of your Project Data, Record Data, and other information on your used Services.

Still, despite all efforts, Startup Sri and you, the User, Innovator, Record Holder, or Spotter, acknowledge that the Internet is not a secure place, and that it is not possible for Startup Sri to warrant that there will be no breach of security or attempts to access this collected information. Therefore, Startup Sri disclaims all liability for unintentional disclosure.

 

  1. CHANGING COLLECTED INFORMATION

If any User considers that Startup Sri has collected untrue, partial, or inaccurate information, the User may contact Startup Sri through the provided contact forms on the Website to request amendments, changes, or to delete any such information. The User agrees to permit Startup Sri to process the request in a reasonable amount of time.
